Arboricultural Impact Assessment (AIA) Reports
When construction affects trees, councils require an AIA. Our Level 5 reports calculate Tree Protection Zones per AS4970-2009 and provide clear retention recommendations that planning authorities respect and approve.
AS4970-2009Overview
An Arboricultural Impact Assessment is the technical document councils use to decide whether a development can proceed around existing trees. It must demonstrate, in measurable terms, how each retained tree will survive construction — and why any removal is justified.
We prepare AIA reports to AS4970-2009 for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects across the Central Coast, Sydney, Newcastle, and the Blue Mountains. Every report is written by our Level 5 arborist, personally, and structured so a planning officer can verify each conclusion without a second opinion.
